June 10th

We left Portomarin with temperatures in the low 40’s but with continuous ups and downs we stayed warm. Liz is missing Sam as she stops to pet every dog and cat that will let her!! Today it was new born kittens that I literally had to drag her away from. Once we got into Palas de Rei, we met back up with old friends and met some new ones from Houston! It continues to amaze me how quickly bonds are formed on the walk. People are amazed at Lizzie’s maturity and truly enjoy her addition to the conversation. I am blessed to have this opportunity to grow with her. Tomorrow we are walking 16.3 miles but because of our various injuries, are having our packs sent ahead.
